You can’t fix stupid

Port Salerno, FL - Just read over on TCPalm about an as of yet unnamed boater, who is probably praying it stays that way, that just pumped 100 gallons of gas into his rod holder! This happened today at the Finest Kind Marina fuel dock in Port Salerno.
The guy not paying any attention put the fuel pump into the rod holder, which apparently was close to his gas tank and didn’t realize his mistake until 100 gallons and probably more than 400 dollars later. How anyone can make that mistake I’ll never know. Martin County fire rescue sent their hazmat team to contain the fuel spill. Luckily only a small amount actually made it into the water, that majority of the fuel went into the boats bilge. He’s very lucky the bilge didn’t ignite the fuel and do serious damage to his boat and the marina.
Stupid is as stupid does, right?
