Tiffany Shepherd was a biology teacher at Port St Lucie High School that was let go due to “attendance”. She claims she was wrongfully terminated due to her side job as a bikini deck hand. Well she never taught the kids the RIGHT biology. She taught them about her frequent trips to gay bars, her desire to be in Maxim Magazine, her horrible divorce, her children, she was always sick with “allergies” and when she was in class she was always on her cell phone. Now keep in mind she did have over 40 absences which is the reason for her termination yet nobody has actually addressed the issue of her not teaching.
My child wants to be a doctor and loves science. Biology is an important course for her to pass because of the medical program she is enrolled in. My daughter complained to the guidance counselor about how the teacher was a nice person but was a horrible teacher. The guidance counselor had no other classes that she could put her in and now my child has to suffer. My daughter feels that she will fail the finals due to not learning or doing the labs that were needed. Ms.Shepherd wants to sue the school for wrongful termination but yet she is making money on getting national coverage. She stated that she would never go topless because of her kids yet she is considering a deal from Playboy. I don’t really care what she does after hours however I do care what you are doing with my tax dollars and what you are teaching my child. How about exposing the other side of the story now. The students side….

Hopefully with all the money she gets from the media circus she’ll forget to sue the school board too. Doubt it but we can hope.
Also …just out of curiousity ….why is it that she missed school because she is a single parent but yet she can go on a charter boat on weekend ( when there is NO daycare ) and she can jet set all over for interviews with no problems finding child care ?? Kinda makes ya wonder……..

Sounds like she “set out” to get fired and use the media attention to make her very well known. 40 unexcused absences, she should have been fired much earlier. It is a shame that she was permitted to be paid to teach and did very little of that. The students should sue her!
I just want to say that the charter boat had hired a team of 4 attorneys to represent her in the “wronful termination” case. Florida is a right to work state and they do not need a reaon to let her go.
As far as helping the kids that need to be brought up to speed in order to pass is she trying to redeem herself or get herself a plug for tutoring ? Oh and the 29 projects that she claimed to give the kids is not true. The last project they had was before Christmas break and the power point was about 3 months ago.
Read all the blogs… Seems more parents are finding out from their children just exactly what she taught. It is also very important ( out of concern for you guys) to make sure that in the beginning of the year , when the pressure dropped during our hurricane season, that no one else had their childrens eardrums burst and that you were all very safe.
I didn’t get to hear the radio interviews with the parents but I heard that Tiffany called in to defend herself and refute the claims of the parents and students. I don’t even know what she said and I don’t believe her - I’m just curious to see what she said in her defense. Anyone know?
