Hurricane Bertha

July 7th, 2008

Hope everyone had a good long weekend and a safe 4th of July!  Now back to work…

Looks like we have our first hurricane of 2008 out in the Atlantic, named Bertha.  With a name like that this one is just destined to be big.  But from the looks of the current track it may stay well out to see, let’s hope anyway.  You know how these things can go - they can turn on a dime and toss you nine cents change, so best to stock up now for the season with non-parishables and some extra fuel for those generators before the prices skyrocket and the lines go around the block.

Speaking of wet weather, I hear we are due for rain again this afternoon but should be seeing a break by the end of the week.  Seems like it’s been raining every day for the past couple of weeks.  At least we aren’t in mandatory water restrictions anymore, got to look on the bright side of things.  So for the next few days keep those umbrellas handy and pray for sunshine and clear skies for the coming weekend.  Time to get back on the beach!
