There are over 16,000 boats registered in Martin County and it seems many of the boaters are mad at well, many of the other boaters!

Boating is a popular past-time in Martin County intracoastal waterways, most weekends you can see people out fishing, skiing or cruising the intracoastal rivers.  Residents along the water along with some boaters are complaining to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission about the speed of boats moving through the areas.  Many areas are marked manatee zones already which forces boaters to slow down in those areas, but with the waters getting crowded on weekends some believe it’s getting dangerous for boaters to be speeding in other areas where people are fishing or swimming. What do you think?  Is the problem inexperienced or inconsiderate boaters posing danger to other people?  Is it boaters not following the posted speeds?  Or is it really not a problem?  Let us know what you think!

One way to do it…

Found this interesting video over on Digg. It’s a video of a couple of guys somewhere in South America ‘fishing’. You’ll have to see it to beleive it, but thousands of fish hopping out of the water and many landing in their boat. Seems like it’s some kind of reaction to the light, watch and see for yourself:
